What is Maths Busking?

Set up and directed by Dr Sara Santos, Maths Busking does mathematics through street performance since 2010.

Maths Busking seeks to engage audiences that would not normally seek mathematical knowledge in situations where mathematics is unexpected. It seeks to surprise and amuse street passers by with entertaining routines deep rooted in maths.

We do the maths for your amusement. You may get tied up, handcuffed or pentagon-ed into sharing pizza in mathematically precise slices.

Maths Busking works with schools, research institutions, the entertainment industry and the business world. Maths Busking is a service, a network and a school of communication.
